Reduce Maintenance Costs
The ability to access current real time usage data, messages, and alerts will allow technicians to be more knowledgeable about the current status of a machine prior to being onsite. Preventative maintenance can be better scheduled by knowing current usage data and by reviewing all massages from the machine prior to being dispatched possible failing parts can be identified and provided before the customer sees a failure.  The ability to read current settings remotely and make adjustments may eliminate some onsite technicians visits.

Rapid Distribution of new recipes
New recipes can be distributed in mass to multiple locations and adjustments made locally to accommodate for machine and location variations. New drinks, adjustments in dosage, brewing time and other parameters can be set from central location by a head barista.  This could eliminate the need to have a technician physically visit every location in a chain, saving time and money.  This quick response capability will allow a chain to profitably respond to fads and always have the “in drink”.

The Perk Alert™ software accepts usage data, error messages, and alerts from the Super Automatic. The PerkAlert™ software can also query current brewing recipes and machine settings and then adjust settings according to adjustments provided locally or from a remote location. Alerts and messages can be distributed by operators, management, head baristas, and maintenance providers instantly. By using aging algorithms alerts can escalate as abnormal conditions remain uncorrected. Being aware of less than ideal condition in the brewing process and in certain cases being able to remotely adjust parameters without having to dispatch a technician can reduce or eliminate problems before they become issues with customers.

Current conditions limit insight into quality of operations to when onsite scheduled maintenance visits occur which many times major issues are identified. Having the ability to be aware of potential issues that could compromise the quality of the coffee allows roasters or owners of multiple outlets and to quickly asses the situation and has the ability to take steps to correct or make adjustments.
